Design that changes
behavior.
Not just how
things look — how they work.

I've spent six years designing complex systems at Citi — enterprise tools, design systems, dashboards used by hundreds of analysts daily. Now finishing a Master's in Digital Business at IE, looking for a company where design has a real seat at the table.

About

Good design, to me, is only
good if it changes something.

I'm a Nicaraguan-American designer who grew up between two cultures — which probably explains why I've always been drawn to products that need to work for many different kinds of people.

Six years at Citi taught me that the job is mostly organizational. The best design decisions I've made weren't about color or layout — they were about clarity: understanding what a team actually needs, then fighting for the simplest version of it.

How I work.

Three principles I keep coming back to, project after project.

i.

Design without business context is just art.

It might be beautiful, but if it doesn't move a metric or solve a real problem, it's decoration.

ii.

Pretty doesn't count if it doesn't change behavior.

The best compliment a design can get is that users just knew what to do.

iii.

Any problem is solvable — if you find the actual root.

Most design problems are really communication problems. Most communication problems are really trust problems. Go deep enough and you can fix almost anything.
